How long will a water pump last? I never had a water pump fail on any Honda I have owned. Of course that is probably because I always had it replaced with the timing belt?
It is remarkably frustrating to pay for timing belt replacement then to have to pay for timing belt replacement plus water pump. If the cooling system has only had the proper Honda coolant and distilled water (or premix) replaced on schedule the odds are with you; if not... not. I learned the hard way that conventional green coolant attacks the water pump seal (first source). Really, it is your choice. However, be aware that water pump seizure is not all that uncommon. A friend of the family had a Ford that had a seized water pump when it was 4 years old - the car was out of warranty but still had a year of payments to go. It was a 90-something Escort with an interference engine and she had to replace the engine because the fragments of the valve seats ruined the pistons and cylinder walls. When I was active in Volvo forums a member had a water pump seize a few months after the timing belt was changed and it did $6000 damage. Your choice, but I always change the pump.Q:What is the function of boiler feed pump, condensate pump, vacuum pump and low drain pump in operation?
The feed water pump is the water pump for the entire boiler, and the water needed by the boiler is supplied by a feed pumpThe condensate pump is supplied to the deaerator after condensing the condensate from the turbineVacuum pump water jet pump should be said, to ensure the turbine vacuum pumpThe low drain pump is the power pump of the low temperature heaterQ:My "95 Ford Ranger has had the sound of a bearing going bad in a pulley for about two months. Finally this weekend I started it up and it must have locked up, the belt was squealing really loud and snapped. So, now the water pump pulley has rubber chunks on it, which would make me think that is the bad pulley. But the pulley spins perfectly, really smooth. The alternator pulley on the other hand does not spin perfectly. It is not really hard to spin, but it does not spin smoothly. And the alternator pulley is real clean, no rubber on it at all. Any thoughts? I was thinking of buying a cheap belt and putting it on there, have someone start the truck and watch under the hood to see which is bad.
Bad Alternator PulleyQ:I just put a new water pump in my jeep and after I put it in I ran it and it seemed to have a small leak while it was running it seems like it was coming from the crank which is under the water pump so it might be a leak coming from the bottom of the pump. When I turn the car off it is no longer a leak its more like pouring water out. What do you think it can be? I put a gasket and the blue silicone gasket sealant all around it and on it before I put it in so I have no idea. Thank you for the help.
Sound like the new water pump is junk. The water is leaking out of the weep hole. That is a hole designed to leak when the pump bearing is going bad. It is a safety precaution so you don"t fry the bearing and lock up your pulley system.Q:My dad wants to buy a salt water pump for a tiny pool.I"m not sure if it"s pointless for the size that the pool is, but it is 12x12x3Is it too small of a pool or are there salt water pumps meant for tiny pools that I could look at?A link to any would be nice. :)Thanks!

I was thinking of getting something with more capacity (to start off) as I feel the car could do with a better cooling system (and I have to get a water pump anyways). I was thinking of getting an electrical pump as that would also free up a bit of power from the engine. From what I gather, by doing this it seems I need to switch to an electrical fan also. Is that the case? Any advice/opinions on electrical systems and set ups? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance to anyone who answers. Much appreciated.
The okorder / Of course, when you are doing this work you want to replace the thermostat, and back flush the rest of the cooling system!Q:The water pump in my trecel is damaged and i need to take it to a shop that"s about 20 minutes away from my house will turning on the heater and adding coolant help me to get the car there without damaging the engine
If you have electric fans to cool the radiator down you can turn on the airconditioning or the defrost which will make the fans run continuously keeping the water cooler for a longer period of timeQ:I have a 1 HP water pump that will pump water through a 1 and 1/2hose. What is the approx. GPM (just to have a reference) of a pump like this?
Assuming the pump will produce about 50 psi of pressure and has an effiicienty of about 80% then the pump would pump about 25 to 30 gpm. I am assuming this is a centrifugal pump and if that is the case there are several varialbles that enter into the estimate. Take a look at the link below and you will see this is not a simple question to answer with any accuracy.Q:How do you remove it without taking the engine out?

The GATOR Sludge Pump offers many benefits and ensures consistently efficient processes for a variety of applications. Our unique slurry valve uses the pump discharge flow to agitate and slurry the sludge to “thin” the fluid for pumping and handling. After the slurry process is complete, the valve is closed to pump the sludge material to the discharge point.
Sludge pumps are used for many pit dewatering applications in the mining, industrial, agricultural, and construction industries, which often require the regular removal of waste products. Other types of pumps won’t be able to transfer liquids with high solid content, potentially resulting in clogging and backup that leads to system failure and costly downtime.
Low Energy Consumption. Portable sludge pumps feature efficient designs and reduced power consumption compared to other pump systems. As a result, you can save more money on energy costs with a more sustainable solution for waste removal. Low Energy Consumption. As a result, you can save more money on energy costs with a more sustainable solution for waste removal.
High Abrasion Resistance. Sludge pumps are designed to handle abrasive solid materials, unlike other liquid pumping systems, making them more likely to hold up to abrasion. With less vulnerability to abrasion, you can avoid the need for frequent maintenance checks, downtime for repairs and replacements for parts.
High Wear Resistance. Since sludge pumps frequently transfer liquids containing solid content such as sand and gravel, they are constructed from high-quality materials to protect parts from wear. Less wear means further reduced maintenance and replacements, helping you get the most from each system.
Choosing the proper sludge pump largely depends on your application. Factors such as pump design, construction material, pump deployment, power requirements, and amount of solid content in the sludge are all important to consider when selecting a sludge pump for your project.
It is also crucial to work with a reputable sludge pump provider. Doing so grants you access to expert assistance in pump selection so that you can feel confident in your choice. At GATOR Pump, we can work with you to provide a high-quality, efficient, and reliable sludge pump that meets the specifications and requirements of your application.

The Hyundai submersible mud pumps are used for handling sewage, wastewater, and sludge of different types, flood or rainwater, mud, and water containing solid particles. These submersible mud pumps are efficient, durable, and completely waterproof. At Hyundai, our main goal is to provide high quality products that have a long life and do not incur extra maintenance costs. Our submersible mud pump is one such product and we are proud to have designed it.
A mud pump is a piston driven pump that can produce high-pressure operations to safely transfer high viscosity fluids over an extended depth. Submersible mud pumps are vital in construction, mining and quarrying applications as they allow users to remove water, slurry and sludge. The submersible mud pump has many applications in industrial service, but it has proven to be invaluable in many drilling operations.
The duplex mud pump features two pistons in constant action to move the fluid. The triplex mud pump has all but replaced the duplex version in most applications, although you will still find the latter in use in some smaller countries. The triplex mud pump features a triple piston design that is more efficient than the duplex design.
The latest designs of the mud pump are the quintuplex. As the name suggests, these designs feature five or six pistons in a reciprocating design. Although not in widespread use as compared to the triplex design, these mud pumps spread the pumping action across the rotational cycle, creating less mud noise. This allows for better measurements and logging to take place while in operation.
Rotational power is supplied to the mud pump through an external power source. The power end of the pump converts this rotational energy through a crankshaft to a reciprocating motion that moves the pistons. The pistons move back and forth in their liners, exerting a force on the cylinder chamber. During the retraction of the piston, valves open to allow the fluid to be drawn into the cylinder. Once the piston has fully retracted, it is pushed back into the cylinder.
Due to the pressure and material being pumped, most mud pump applications can create a lot of vibration. To combat this, many mud pump applications incorporate pulsation dampeners. These are typically used on both suction and discharge sides of the pump.
In some cases, a positive displacement pump may pull the fluids at a pressure lower than its vapor pressure. When this happens, damaging cavitations can take place. In these cases, a charge pump might be required at the inlet side to maintain a positive pressure on the suction stream.
When selecting a mud pump, there are two main parameters to be used, pressure and displacement. Pressure is the net pumping pressure that the pump can safely provide. The requirement for pressure increases as the drilling depth and fluid (or slurry) viscosity increases.
Displacement is the volume of fluid that the pump can transfer within a given time period. In most applications, this is rated as discharged liters per minute.
Mud pumps are ideal wherever a lot of fluid needs to be pumped under high pressure. They are considered an essential part of mostoil well drilling rigs. Mud pumps can deliver high concentration and high viscosity slurry in a stable flow, making them adaptable to many uses.
The price for Hyundai submersible mud pumps is reasonable and allows you to make a purchase without having to put a strain on your pocket. The price ranges between Rs. 35,000- Rs. 45,000, depending on what model you prefer.
We are appreciated for providing our clients with a commendable gamut of Mud Pump Liner. Fabricated by making use of supreme quality required basic material, these offered products conform with the defined parameters of the industry. Furthermore, we have made the offered products available in different sizes and specifications so as to meet divergent demands of the clients.
The pump is designed to circulate mud or drilling fluid under great pressure down the drill hole and back up. The pump is a reciprocating model that features five pistons, hence the name quintuplex mud pump. The right degree of pressure and precision is crucial for efficient well operations. At Shale Pumps, we understand the value of a well designed and manufactured quintuplex pump, lending great focus on robust build and superior engineering quality.
Despite the fact that all mud pumps have pulsation dampeners, noise levels are likely to be high and require modifications to keep noise pollution levels low. This is important, considering the long-running hours of equipment and the need to protect personnel from constant and high noise levels. With a quintuplex mud pump, the pulsation noise and the mud telemetry noise come down by as much as half, making operations less noisy.
At Shale Pumps the designs of quintuplex mud pumps incorporate smaller footprints making the pumps more compact. Despite the smaller size of the pumps, the quintuplex pumps are rated for continuous duty with greater efficiency. The pressurized lubrication system with lubrication pumps mounted on the outside makes it easy for maintenance, reducing downtime of the equipment.
The build quality of the quintuplex mud pumps, much like the other equipment we manufacture and assemble at Shale pumps are superior, as a result of the materials, the design, and the processes employed in the assembly line.
