The Cablecon 528L digital load cell indicating system is used to improve the accuracy and production of existing Prooftest machines (analog pressure gages) and can also be installed on New Prooftest machines.  The Cablecon 528L Consists of a digital readout and custom designed standard or heavy-duty load cells.  The Cablecon 528L system will insure the Prooftest machine to pass ASTM E4 force calibration/verification standard.

The Cablecon 528L also can be used with our proven CLT computer software.  The CLT-510 is a special computer program that will produce a test certificate with all customer and product information.  Along with the “Peak Load” reading, time duration and other pertinent test information.  During the actual test the operator can view the current test in real time from the load vs. time graph.  The test can be automatically stored and printed.  And old tests can be viewed and reprinted.

The Force Sensing Clevis Pin or Clevis Bolt, otherwise known as load pins, are load sensors utilizing the internal strain gage transducer process developed by Strainsert and used also in their Flat Load Cells® and Tension Links. These load pins and clevis bolts offer precision force measurement and monitoring by replacing existing clevis pins in standard wire rope socket hardware.

The Strain gages are sealed inside small axial holes within the load pin and are positioned at two locations at the Clevis to Clevis Eye interfaces. In order to sense only those strains which are induced by the shear forces at these two sections, the strain gages are positioned and oriented with great precision, at a neutral plane relative to one specific direction of pin loading.

The four strain gages (two at each location) are electrically connected to form a full bridge, the signal from each strain gage being additive so that the bridge output is proportional to the sum of the loads transmitted by the shear planes of the pin. The circuit typically includes temperature compensating, signal trim (optional) and balance resistors terminating in suitable connector socket or integral cable.

Easy Installation: By replacing pins in Crosby (or equivalent) wire rope sockets, with minimum machining alterations (2-tapped holes), and hardware (2 bolts, keeper plate).

Precison Load Sensing: Complete strain gage bridge circuit bonded and sealed inside small hole along longitudinal axis of pin, by exclusive Strainsert process.

30510 Rope Tension Loadcell uses in industrial applications where the tension in wire rope needs to be carefully and continuously monitored and prevent overload. The load cell is conveniently clamped-on to the rope in the existing condition. Designed to handle rope dia from 8mm to 80mm.
