The Sand Guzzler is placed in a small pit near the drill hole so that it can be totally submersed in the drilling fluid that rises from the hole. In normal operation the content of the pit will rise and fall. As the Sand Guzzler gets covered it will fill with drilling fluid and any rocks or cuttings up to 2” diameter, through openings around its base.

MudPuppy MP-170-2SC mud cleaning system from Tibban. Powered by Deutz 4-Cylinder Diesel.  This system can clean up to 350 GPM of drilling mud and includes a 2X3X8.5 Centrifugal Desanding Pump.

Also mounted on this gooseneck trailer is a 3X4X13 Centrifugal mud pump powered by a Detroit Diesel.  This self-contained, skid mounted mud pump includes a separate diesel tank and control system from the mud cleaning system.
