Drilling Contractor visited the manufacturing facility of White Star Pump Company in Waller, Texas, on 17 February to view a demonstration of the company’s quadraplex mud pump, which was designed to address the challenges of the conventional triplex pump.

“After working on all the different brands of (triplex) pumps, it became evident that they all had the same common issues,” said Bruce Suggs, vice president of marketing and sales for White Star. “(We) tried to build a triplex and ended up with the Quatro.”

Instead of taking an existing triplex pump and trying to make it better, White Star approached the project with a clean-sheet design. The Quatro pump features a width of only 82 in. and easily fits on a standard-width trailer, a potential advantage in areas with limited space, such as on offshore rigs and in shale plays like the Marcellus. With the fluid modules sitting inside the frame, change-out time can be reduced to 23 minutes versus up to 10 hours for conventional triplex pumps. The quadraplex pump also uses a fully assembled crankshaft that requires no castings or welding. Using a crankshaft that is fully assembled and supported by modern bearing placement dramatically reduces crankshaft bending and cracking.

Additionally, the Quatro is equipped with two pulsation dampeners, one for each pair of pistons, unlike the triplex, which carries only one. This allows mud to be dampened before it gets to the strain across, creating a quieter, smoother fluid flow and reducing vibrations.

Lava is a glowing red/orange liquid found deep in the Cavern layer and in The Underworld, appearing instead of Water at depths below 1,500 feet (750 tiles) in a small world, 2,300 feet (1,150 tiles) in a medium world, and 3,350 feet (1,675 tiles) in a large world. Tiny pools can frequently be found on the outskirts of the underground desert as well, even as high as 200 feet below the surface.

Contact with Lava deals 80 damage per hit on players and 50 damage per hit on enemies, and inflicts the On Fire! debuff on both. Lava also slows movement the way Water does. The Obsidian Skin Potion makes players immune to Lava damage, and the Lava Charm and its derivatives will allow players to be safely submerged in lava for 7 seconds.

Lava flows downwards and horizontally, settling and taking the shape of any block formations below and beside it, the way Water does; however, Lava is more viscous than Water, flowing more slowly. Most dropped items of White Rarity (which includes all Coins) will be destroyed when submerged in Lava past their vertical midpoint. Blocks cannot be placed directly within Lava, but falling blocks like Silt and Sand can fall into it, resulting in placement at its bottom, and these can be stacked until reaching the Lava"s surface to form a safe bridge over it. Silt and Sand blocks placed this way will revert back to Lava if mined away. However, one can use this method and log out. Upon logging back in, most of the lava will be gone.

Like water and honey, lava can be used as a minor crafting station. It works just like those two; in order to use it the player only has to stand nearby. Creation of items from a body of lava does not lower the lava level at all.

This also requires you to collect Underworld bait before you can fish, and you may end up needing a lot of bait before you get a lavaproof fishing hook.

There are some advantages to using liquid nitrogen. Since liquid nitrogen freezes the mixture faster, the crystal grains are smaller, giving the ice-cream a creamier texture. The downside is that ice-crystals grow faster in ice-cream prepared using liquid nitrogen, so it must be stored at much colder temperatures. Both methods produce a distinct texture, and both are delicious.

Q. Freezer burn may have wasted more ice-cream than sidewalks. If you don’t know, freezer burn is when ice crystals form on the surface of ice-cream. These ice crystals can ruin the texture and flavor of the ice cream. But you can prevent freezer burn. Since freezer burn is caused when melted ice-cream is refrozen, rather than eating your ice-cream from the container as it melts, scoop your ice-cream into a bowl and put the container back in the fridge immediately. Doing this ought to help you solve your problems with freezer burn.

A tornado is a storm that develops on land, with no warning, and moves in a circular motion with heavy winds with a funnel shape, picking up and carrying dirt, dust, and even objects. The damage caused by tornadoes is from the high velocity winds, which are extremely destructive and deadly. They can demolish entire neighborhoods in a matter of a few seconds to a few minutes. Tornadoes can form when hurricanes make landfall, as their winds at ground level slow down, while the winds near the top keep their momentum, but a hurricane cannot be created by a tornado.

If a fire burns through all of its fuel and extra nearby fuel is removed, the fire will stop burning. The oxygen can be removed. This is called "smothering" a fire. Fires cannot burn in a vacuum or if they are covered in carbon dioxide. The heat can be removed. The most common way to remove heat is to use water to absorb that heat, putting the fire out.

You can experience some of these conditions by eating the same food that soldiers ate at Valley Forge: fire cake. Fire cake is a horrible tasting blob of burnt gluten. To make some first mix flour with water until you get thick, damp dough. Then, form it into a cake and in your palms. Put this doughy lump on a greased cookie sheet and bake it until it is brown. But leeches aren’t really disgusting, and sometimes they can save lives!In ancient Egypt and later in medieval Europe, doctors put leeches on patients. They believed that the spineless wormlike creatures could cure all sorts of illnesses by sucking a patient’s blood. In Europe and in the United States, millions of leeches were used throughout the 1800s. Doctors applied leeches to treat a variety of illnesses, from obesity to headaches. People soon learned that leeches could not cure most diseases and were not a good treatment for patients. However, in 1985, a Harvard University doctor changed people’s thinking once again. He was trying to reattach a patient’s ear, which had been cut off. He had trouble reconnecting the veins because the patient’s blood kept clotting. He applied a leech to draw out the blood and saved the ear. Since then, leeches have often been used in surgery where body parts are reattached. During surgery, a leech is placed on the area where the surgeon does not want blood to pool and clot. Then the leech secretes a substance that keeps the veins open and stops the blood from clotting. The leech sucks up excess blood, allowing fresh blood to flow, which helps the patient heal. Some people are horrified at the thought of having a bloodsucking creature attached to them. But why not welcome a leech if it can save your life?

The lack of rain and snow has horrible effects on farmers. With no rain their land dries up, and it is very difficult to grow anything. When the crops fail, the farmers haven"t any choice but to get a second job in order to make the money they need. Farming is a full time job and with a second job, farmers are overworked, stressed and even depressed. Many farmers end up selling their land. Some farmers have accepted the government program the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), which is the land is left idle to let the grass grow and must be left idle a certian number of years. while the land is in the CRP program, some farmers have taken outside jobs. That is why when it doesn"t rain, you notice that most of the farmers are very crabby. As a farmer"s daughter, I have experienced some good times and some bad times. The emotion of fear sets off many changes in your body. When you become frightened, you breathe more deeply, giving your muscles more oxygen and greater energy. Your hearts beats more powerfully so that your blood circulates faster, carrying oxygen to all parts of your body. Your stomach and intestines no longer contract and all digestive action stops. No saliva flows in your mouth and your throat becomes dry. Your face becomes pale and the tiny blood vessels shrink under the skin so that less blood would flow if you were cut. The blood can clot faster so that there would be less bleeding from a wound. The pupils of your eyes enlarge, admitting more light during the emergency. You might be able to perform great feats of strength in this condition.

Q. Making sandbags can be easy and fun.The first thing you need to do is get to a location with a lot of sand, so if you"re near a beach, that is perfect. The next thing you need to do is fill your bags with sand. You"ll want to fill them completely so that it is firm, like a brick,but leave enough space at the top to tie it closed. After tying them closed you can stack them into a wall. Repeat steps until you have built a large wall.

Q. How do mountains like these disappear? The process begins with rain. As it rains, water seeps through cracks and joints in the stone. Chemicals in the water dissolve small grains of rock. Later on, the water freezes and thaws, prying loose bigger pieces of rock. These rocks grind against other rocks as they slide downhill. The wind carries away particles of dust behind by these grinding rocks. In the end it can be said that wind, water, and gravity have hauled away these mountains.

Some people associate running only with panting, sweating, and plain and simple torture, but for me and other experienced runners the effect of running is pure and utter pleasure. When I run, it might look as though I’m in agony, with my gaping mouth, soaked brow, and constantly contracting leg muscles. In fact, however, my daily half-hour run represents a time of complete physical and mental relaxation. As I begin my run, my lungs escape the stuffy atmosphere of my job and school and are immediately refreshed by the clean, open air. The daily tensions built up in my body ease as my muscles stretch and pump, releasing all feelings of anger or frustration. I mentally dive into my run and feel as though I em lifting my feet from the pavement and ascending into the air. My mind wanders toward the outer limits of my imagination, and I seem to float, daydreaming about wherever my thoughts take me. I take pride in the salty perspiration that trickles down my face and body, signifying my effort and ambition. After I complete my run and cool down with long, deep breaths, my body tingles slightly and feels energized, as if I had just come off a roller coaster. I am more alert, my concentration is sharper, and my state of mind is relaxed and peaceful. I feel alive. Beginning runners who initially experience soreness and fatigue rather than this kind of “high” should be patient. As the body builds up strength and tolerance, they will no longer equate running with pain but rather with relief from tension and with greater emotional well-being. Scott Weckerly (student)

It came on great oiled, resilient, striding legs. It towered thirty feet above half of the trees, a great evil god, folding its delicate watchmaker’s claws close to its oily reptilian chest. Each lower leg was a piston, a thousand pounds of white bone, sunk in thick ropes of muscle, sheathed over in a gleam of pebbled skin like the mail6 of a terrible warrior. Each thigh was a ton of meat, ivory, and steel mesh. And from the great breathing cage of the upper body those two delicate arms dangled out front, arms with hands which might pick up and examine men like toys, while the snake neck coiled. And the head itself, a ton of sculptured stone, lifted easily upon the sky. Its mouth gaped, exposing a fence of teeth like daggers. Its eyes rolled, ostrich eggs, empty of all expression save hunger. It closed its mouth in a death grin. It ran, its pelvic bones crushing aside trees and bushes, its taloned feet clawing damp earth, leaving prints six inches deep wherever it settled its weight. It ran with a gliding ballet step, far too poised and balanced for its ten tons. It moved into a sunlit arena warily, its beautifully reptilian hands feeling the air

Spanish explorers brought horses to North America in the 1500s. Horses made it easier to hunt, travel, and fight. The Comanche moved south from what is now Wyoming in the 1600s. By the 1700s they had spread across what is now Texas and Oklahoma. They were nomads and fierce warriors. They controlled a large area of the Plains.

The Comanche nation was divided into smaller groups that lived and hunted together. Each group chose war and peace chiefs. The chiefs met to discuss issues that affected all Comanche. About 8,500 Comanche live in the United States now. They have their own government and continue to value their traditions.

Erik rang his grandparents’ doorbell and silently wished the next four hours would go by quickly. He didn’t want to give up his entire Saturday afternoon at his grandparents’ house where there were no kids in the neighborhood.

Inside your nose, there are hundreds of tiny hairs. These hairs filter the air you breathe. Sometimes dust and pollen find their way through these hairs and bother your nasal passages. The nerves in the lining of your nose tell your brain that something is invading your body.

Your brain, lungs, nose, mouth, and the muscles of your upper body work together to blow away the invaders with a sneeze. When you sneeze, germs from your nose get blown into the air. Using a tissue or “sneezing into your sleeve” captures most of these germs. It is very important to wash your hands after you sneeze into them, especially during cold and flu season.

A red ladybug sat on a dewy green bean leaf. I snapped a handful of smooth green beans from the fragile plant. Water droplets sprayed my arm. The ladybug fluttered away.

Adam yanked the blankets off the bed. “It wasn’t a dream. I was awake, and the closet door started opening by itself!” David sighed. “Fine. But when we don’t find anything, you have to promise to leave me alone for the rest of the night.”

Anna put the top on and sealed the can with tape. On the front, she wrote ANNA AND KITTY’S TIME CAPSULE with a thick black marker. She carried the can outside. After grabbing a shovel from the shed, she buried her time capsule in the garden. “All done,” she told Kitty.

Ella’s eyes widened. “Royalty? Well, I’m going to be a princess when I grow up.” Narong nodded in agreement. For the first time, Ella smiled. “I whipped up the snow white frosting on these cookies. See? ‘Cause I’m wishing for snow. Like you.” “Snow elephants taste yummy,” Nick said as he crunched a cookie at the kitchen table.

Jacob"s class had a substitute teacher. His name was Mr. Meany. Mr. Meany was a lot of fun. Jacob didn’t even mind taking his math test because Mr. Meany did a cheer at the front of the room before the test and made everyone laugh. When it was lunchtime, Jacob stood and walked up to Mr. Meany. “See you after lunch, Mr. Not-a-Meany,” Jacob said with a smile.

Both porpoises and dolphins use echolocation. This means they send out sounds and then listen for the echoes bouncing back. Echolocation helps them find food and escape predators. Both porpoises and dolphins are toothed whales. However, porpoise teeth are shaped differently than dolphin teeth. Dolphins have sharp, cone-shaped teeth, but porpoise teeth are spade-shaped and flatter.

An adult whale shark averages 25 feet in length. Some reach 40 feet or more. That’s as big as a full-sized school bus and twice as big as a great white shark! How can a shark grow so large if it doesn’t use its teeth to eat? It filter feeds! This means it strains food from the water through a kind of filter in its mouth. Another giant filter-feeder is the blue whale, but the whale shark filter feeds slightly differently than the blue whale.

Andy slumped in his seat and moaned. His father had dragged him along for all the weekend errands. Andy just wanted to go home and play video games, but his dad insisted they spend quality time together. “How many more places do we have to go?” Andy asked after the fourth stop. They’d already been to the bank, the supermarket, the post office, and the dry cleaner. He couldn’t imagine what they could possibly have left to do.

“Sweetie, you’re just going to have to explain that you aren’t doing a good job of keeping track of your things. If you started putting things away, this wouldn’t happen.” Mom placed a hand on Meredith’s shoulder. “Now go feed Mr. Whiskers before we go.” Meredith slung her backpack over her shoulder and walked to the laundry room where Mr. Whiskers ate his breakfast. He was fast asleep in his cozy cat bed. She reached down and patted his soft head. He purred, got up, and nuzzled Meredith’s leg. And there in his bed was her hair tie, sock, and spelling homework.

If there are fewer acorns, it may result in a decrease in populations of squirrels and field mice. Since these animals are often hosts to insects, including ticks, the ticks will be on the move and more likely to bite humans. As a result, scientists expect to see an increase in the number of cases of Lyme Disease, an infection carried by ticks.

Q. Some dogs and cats do not have homes. People started animal shelters to take care of these animals and solve the problem of homeless animals. At the shelters, dogs and cats get food and water. They get to play with other dogs and cats. Sometimes, people bring a lost animal to the shelter. Some of these dogs and cats get a new home! People come to animal shelters to get a new pet. what type of text structure is this?

Q. Yesterday, my class went on a field trip to the zoo. We went to the monkey cages first. Then we watched an elephant eating its lunch. After that we ate our own lunches in the picnic area. After lunch we saw the giraffes and lions. At the end of the day, we stopped to look at the bears on the way back to the bus.

Q. Others, too, are hungry, including bands of timber wolves, which sometimes follow the musk oxen. In spring, when the calves are born, the wolves become particularly menacing. The musk oxen form a defensive ring, with calves and young animals in the middle. Even a dozen wolves attacking together stand little chance against the circle of lowered heads and sturdy horns. what is the problem?

Every day, Farmer Franz checks on his crops. He grows corn and carrots. Every day, Farmer Franz finds holes and his crops. The bugs! They crawl from under the earth at night. While everyone is sleeping, they eat away at Farmer Franz crops. One day, Farmer Franz decided he had enough. He knew that birds eat bugs, so he decided to get birds. He left out a little bit of seeds and his fields. He hoped the birds would come to eat the seeds and stay to eat the bugs.

The next morning, Farmer Franz went out to check on his crops. he looked out to see everything was gone. No bugs, no birds, no seeds, no crops! The birds eat the seed. The bugs came out to eat the crops. Then, the birds looked at the bugs. The bugs looked at the birds. They both realized they could all eat. So they did. They both ate all of the carrots and corn.

Anton and Anthony were brothers. They were twins. They did everything together. They both played baseball. They were both dancers. They were both on the swim team. When people saw Anton, they saw Anthony too.

Smoking cigarettes is very bad for your health. Cigarettes have tobacco inside of them. Tobacco is a type of plant that can be smoked. The smoke from tobacco has many chemicals that make cigarettes unhealthy. These chemicals join together to form tar. Tar is what makes cigarette smoke smell bad. It even gets on clothing, on skin and in the lungs!

Tar is not safe for the lungs, which help your body breathe. It sticks to the cilia in your lungs. Cilia are tiny hairs that push out germs and dirt. If there is tar on the cilia, they cannot do their job. If germs dirt live in the lungs, you can get sick. The tar can even make you get lung cancer.

Some water from the sink have chlorine and fluoride in it. The chlorine helps to make the water cleaner. Fluoride is good for people"s teeth. If your tap water has either of these end it, do not give it to your rats. These chemicals can be like poison for a rat. It is better and safer to give rats bottled water. Always check the brand you choose, though. Some bottled waters are mostly tap water!

Having good attendance is important because attendance determines the school"s funding. Some students have poor attendance, and the school has tried many ways of addressing this: teachers have talked to parents on the phone and the school has mailed letters. Yet, some students still maintain poor attendance. Next, the staff will attempt to schedule parent/teacher/administrator conferences with students who are habitually absent. Hopefully, this will help more students get to school everyday.

The amount of traffic in Reading is growing all the time. The roads are getting busier and busier, causing more and more traffic jams. A few years ago, I could drive across town in 15 minutes and now it can take me 45 minutes! We need to encourage more people to take the bus.

Snow is an interesting type of precipitation. For instance, sometimes it is cold, white, and fluffy. It can also be slushy with small pieces of ice in it at other times.

After snowing for 5 hours the driveway was blocked and Steve couldn’t park his truck. To solve this dilemma he shoveled the snow off the driveway and then pulled his truck into his spot.

All matter, all things can be changed in two ways: chemically and physically. Both chemical and physical changes affect the state of matter. Physical changes are those that do not change the make-up or identity of the matter. On the other hand, chemical changes turn the matter into a new kind of matter with different properties. The difference between them is that physical changes are temporary or only last for a little while, and chemical changes are permanent, which means they last forever. Physical and chemical changes both affect the state of matter.

Dr. Miller doesn’t want the tigers to vanish. The main challenge is that these majestic beasts are disappearing at an alarming rate. Therefore, Dr. Miller thinks that we should write to our congress people. If we let them know that we demand the preservation of this species, maybe we can make a difference. Dr. Miller also thinks that we should donate to Save the Tigers. As a result, our donations will help to support and empower those who are fighting the hardest to preserve the tigers. We owe it to our grandchildren to do something.

The Loggerhead is a relatively easy turtle to identify. To begin with, the Loggerhead has a reddish-brown upper shell and a dull brown to yellowish lower shell. The adult Loggerhead weighs from 200 to 350 pounds and lives in temperate and subtropical waters. In addition to eating small fish, the Loggerhead sea turtle feasts on shellfish, clams, horseshoe crabs, and mussels.

Q. When Americans settled the Midwest, they were challenged by tough soils that resisted their cast iron plows. The Midwest contains some of the richest soil in the world, yet many settlers concluded that the soil was unsuitable for farming because they couldn"t break ground. John Deere"s steel plow changed all of that. Deere"s plow was stronger and lighter than the iron plows people had used up until then. This allowed settlers to open up the tough but rich soil in the Midwest and unlock its agricultural potential. His invention became known as "The Plow that Broke the Plains," and it helped American farmers feed the world.

Q. You may not know who Mark Zuckerberg is but I bet you know about Facebook. Zuckerberg and his roommates launched Facebook from their college dormitory at Harvard. Facebook started off as just a "Harvard thing," but Zuckerberg and roommates spread it to other universities like Stanford, Dartmouth, and NYU. As Facebook grew in size and popularity, Zuckerberg took investments but resisted buyout offers. The founders maintained control and in 2012 Facebook became a publically traded company. Today Facebook is one of the world’s most popular websites and Zuckerberg is the CEO. Facebook has over one billion users and Zuckerberg is one of the 25 richest people in America. That’s not too bad for a college dropout.

Q. Thomas Edison became known as "The Wizard of Menlo Park" in 1877, when he invented the phonograph. Edison"s phonograph allowed people to record sounds and replay them. Though this technology was unimpressive by today"s standards—his recordings would only play few times and the sound quality was poor— back then Edison’s device appeared to be magical. That"s why people called Edison "The Wizard of Menlo Park," because they suspected him of witchcraft.

When farmers use fertilizer to fertilize their crops, the left over fertilizer can run into nearby ponds, streams and rivers. The result is that the nutrient-rich fertilizer causes way too much algae to grow. All that algae is bad for the plants and animals that live there.

Some of the students in room 52 were upset because they never got to use the balls and jump ropes at recess. Another group of kids always got them first and they refused to share. When Mrs. Kelly found out what was going on, she developed a rotation system so that everyone would have a chance to use the equipment.

However, butterflies usually have brighter colors on their wings than moths. Also, butterflies are most active during the day, while moths are generally creatures of the night.

You can see the Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. About six million people view the famous painting each year.

Spending too much time in the sun can lead to sunburn, dehydration, and even skin cancer. One way to help prevent these problems is to make sure that you wear sunscreen whenever you are outside. It is also a good idea to avoid being outside during the hottest part of the day, between 11:00am and 2:00pm.

The Vancouver Island marmot is a kind of large rodent that lives high in the mountains of Vancouver Island in Canada. Climate change and logging have resulted in a large decrease in their population. Scientists believe that there are less than a hundred of them left in the wild.

The cardinal and the goldfinch are two common birds. Both are brightly colored. Both are common at birdfeeders. But the birds have some differences. The male cardinal is a bright red, while the male goldfinch is yellow. Cardinals like shrubs and trees, while goldfinches prefer open meadows.

Heavy rains can cause flooding in small streams. For weather forecasters and local authorities, this flooding can be difficult to predict. Fortunately, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) has more than 7,000 streamgages that measure water flow. These streamgages help scientists to monitor water levels in good and bad weather.

Llamas and camels are animals that are used to carry cargo over long distances. They can carry heavy loads for miles each day. Both are valued for their fur and meat. Though llamas and camels are both good working animals, they each have their own distinct look. Llamas have no humps on their backs unlike camels which have a collection of fat for humps. Having their fat in one area makes the camels less hot. In addition, camels can survive with very little water.

During the hottest days of summer, heat takes over. The extreme heat causes dehydration, pool water becomes uncomfortably warm, and vehicles transform into saunas on wheels. Just how hot, exactly, is it, though? Consider the temperature of sidewalks. Sidewalks are most often made out of concrete. To a barefoot, the high temperature can burn. Many factors play in to the temperature of a sidewalk like sunlight and air temperature. Because of the many factors, it is near impossible for sidewalks to maintain a consistent temperature. This is precisely why the time-old saying, "It"s so hot, we could fry an egg on the sidewalk" can be proven false. The reason why eggs cannot be fried on the sidewalk even in the hottest days of summer is a result of their need for a constant heat source for the duration of cooking. In fact, the egg is cooler than the sidewalk therefore when they meet, the egg cools off the sidewalk further preventing it from cooking.

Our neighborhood must address the growing issue of car traffic. Another child narrowly avoided being hit by a car last week. Children no longer feel safe riding their bikes, skate boards, and scooters in our neighborhood. In the past, there were fewer cars driving through our streets. When the new grocery store opened in the neighborhood next to ours, things changed. Cars began to drive past our homes very quickly all day long. Our neighborhood soon became a shortcut through town. These cars are now cutting into the only playground the children have. The only way to fix this issue is to build a park. This park should have a real playground with a bike path around it. Then, children could play there instead of in the dangerous streets.

Every country has its own flag. Japan has a white flag with a red circle in it. The red circle stands for the sun. Japan’s name means the “land of the rising sun.” Canada also has a red and white flag. But its flag has a white background with two wide red stripes. In the center of the flag is a red maple leaf. The maple tree is a symbol of Canada.

Beth and Erin wanted to surprise their mother with breakfast in bed. They got up early and raced to the kitchen. Beth measured flour and milk while Erin mixed in the eggs and spices. The girls heated a large flat pan and poured out four perfect pancakes. When the tops bubbled, Erin carefully flipped them over. Beth fixed a tray with a glass of orange juice and a fork. Erin put the finished pancakes on a plate and slid it onto the tray.

The flowers and bushes in front of the school that were donated and planted by our class are not doing well. Some of the flowers have already died, and the bushes are not in great shape. The students have watered and fertilized all of the plants regularly. A possible reason for the pitiful shape of the plants is that the soil may be too rocky for the plants to take root. Another possible reason may be too much sun. The area is open, and the flowers and bushes are getting several hours of direct sunlight. Some of the teachers have recommended that the plants be moved to closer to the school to some better ground with trees that will provide partial shade.

Tim even worked on his homework every night. Tim paid attention in class after that.

Dr. Knapp thinks we could help restore the toad population if we stop mowing parts of our lawns and let the grass grow wild to reserve space for the toad. If we preserve some spaces in our lawns and stop using fertilizers, Dr. Knapp believes we can save the toads.
