Yes - look for the leak!!!! With the car off, look for stains on the radiator, or puddles of greenish fluid anywhere. If you see puddles, look for the hoses/connections above them. If you see a stain near the water pump mounting on your car, you are likely having a water pump issue (or a hose clamp has worn a hole in one of your hoses mounted to the pump) If you don"t see anything, add water to your car, and look for immediate leaks. You should see something. Check under the car for puddling. Turn off the car and immediately check under the hood - many times your coolant will remain pressurized long enough to continue leaking after its shut off for a little while.Q:My water pump went out. Cooling systems are simple. There are only a few things you need to know to work a cooling system. 1 – Cooling systems consist of only a few parts. Thermostat, radiator, fan, and water pump. 2 – is it visually leaking? if yes fix leak. 3 – It is never the thermostat but it is a couple bucks so change it. 4 – is the water pump pumping. This is usually not the issue and the last thing to replace. Not to mention it is the most difficult to get to so do it last. 5 – is the fan working? 6 – Usually it is the radiator itself. The radiator is pressurized and if there is a pin hole leak your car will slowly overheat. It usually takes an hour or so of driving. Also many people like stop leak and use it as a solution when it is really a band aid. Many times people will find that they have reduced water flow because the previous owner used stop leak in the radiator. Take the radiator out and take it to a radiator shop. Have them pressure test it and inspect it. Your problem is likely in the radiator.Q:n my water pump hoses feels like theres no pressure

the pump designed for water will not work very well at all (any type of pump). its effieciecy will be very low. you will have low volume and low pressure. the pump will also be damaged, making it unsuitable to use as a water pump after its failed attempt at use as an air pump. Why dont you find an air blower? if your experimenting you can find one in every car heater system, so check out the car wreckers yard. Car heater air blowers are high volume low pressure. If you want a big unit get one out of a bus!
