Valves are not intended for direct contact with cryogenic liquids. Risers (sold separately) are required to convert cryogenic liquids into gases before they contact the valve. 3/8 NPT valve requires a 1/2 NPT × 3/8 NPT bushing when using a riser.

Each cryogenic valve is equipped with a mechanism that prevents pressure buildup in the valve cavity, eliminating the risk that liquefied-gas evaporation will over – pressure the valve body by releasing over-pressured media from the cavity area back to the line.
The Habonim standard bonnet length design complies with BS6364 for non-cold box applications. The long neck bonnet insulates the stem seal from the low temperatures of cryogenic fluids, thus enabling safe and long-lasting seal service. A small gap between the bonnet ID and the stem OD, ensures a thick layer between the media and the stem seal.
The Habonim bonnet design comes in two optional versions. Both are designed to prevent cryogenic liquids from reaching the stem seal. Habonim recommends installation in the vertical position but allows installation at an angle.
A meticulous cleaning and assembly procedure eliminate the ignition hazards that can be caused by the presence of hydrocarbon oil, grease, and metal chips. Habonim uses an environment friendly, alkaline-based degreasing process with controlled parameters. The Generant Series Brass CRV, Cryogenic Relief Valve is a spring reference over pressure protection device. The CRV incorporates Generant’s exclusive “Dirt Guard” feature which increases the valves ability to tolerate particulate contamination. The valve can be ordered with set pressures ranging from 10 to 750 Psig (0.7 to 51.7 Bar) and come factory preset and permanently locked. Relief pressure can not be altered or adjusted in the field. Seat and poppet geometry combined with optimized spring ranges provide high flow rates with minimum pressure accumulation.
