ingersoll rand safety valve free sample

Bought the check valve in June, installed in October. After a very short run time the relief valve (200psi) started hammering. Tank pressure was barely showing on the gauge. It seems that this check valve is blocked or failed. It"s way beyond the 30 day return period. SOL here.

UPDATE: after buying a replacement valve from another vendor I was forced to return it because the thread connections were not as advertised. I then bought another of this same valve and installed a pressure gauge in line with the 325psi relief valve. After just a couple of seconds of run time, this gauge showed over 300psi and the relief valve unloaded. This can only mean that the check valve is faulty and does not open at all to admit air to the receiver tank. Once again I am forced to replace it. I"m out for the cost of the test gauge and fittings as well.

The 32174286 OEM safety valve from Ingersoll Rand is set to release air pressure in the aftercooler and discharge lines if the pressure were to ever reach 325psi or above. This is a common safety valve that was used on several of Ingersoll Rand"s reciprocating air compressors. The safety valve was typically installed on the air cooled aftercooler itself. On several of the older model Ingersoll Rand piston compressors the 325 psi safety valve was threaded directly onto the check valve.

**Please note the 325psi safety valve is different than the 150 or 200psi safety valve that was commonly used on receiver tanks. If you are looking for a receiver tank safety valve, please confirm the maximum pressure on your receiver tank and contact us for proper sizing and application.
