CRC chain and wire rope lube is a special blend of synthetic lubricants, solvents and molybdenum designed to keep chains and wire rope in peak operating condition. With a low viscosity and wet film, chain and wire rope lube penetrates deeply between chain links and wire strands to reduce friction and wear that cause metal fatigue. Chain and wire rope lube also contains a tackifier that enables the lubricant to cling tenaciously to metal surfaces without increasing the viscosity. Regular use of chain and wire rope lube will help inhibit corrosion, reduce load stress and prevent wire strands from becoming brittle and fraying. Recommended for use as a lubricant and corrosion inhibitor on low speed conveyor and drive chains, hoists, winches, pulleys, cushion pins, rollers, garage doors, bushings, seals, o-rings, and come-alongs. Low viscosity. Provides the ability to penetrate and thoroughly coat interior wire strands and cushion pins. Material safety data label. Schaeffer Silver Streak Wire Rope Lubricant Spray works to extend the service life of wire ropes over a significant range of temperatures. Formulated from a blend of high viscosity index paraffin base oils, synthetic base oil and penetrating oils, Silver Streak Wire Lubricant works to provide increased wear protection and lubrication of the inner wire rope core. This quality product also features excellent resistance to the corrosive effects of salt water and load carrying capabilities.

Wire ropes contain numerous moving parts which require lubrication. Each time the rope bends or flexes, the internal strands rub together. Whitmore"s Wire Rope Lubricant coats these strands to prevent friction and wear. This results in longer wire rope life, less downtime for rope changes and more production.

Whitmore"s Wire Rope Lubricant quickly penetrates to the core. This ensures that the rope is lubricated throughout while providing a nondrying, non-tacky film on the outside of the rope which protects outer strands from corrosion as well as lubricating the wire rope drums and sheaves.

Whitmore"s Wire Rope Lubricant is easily pumpable at temperatures down to -25°F (-35°C). Its nondrying film remains flexible in the most extreme weather conditions which eliminates flaking and peeling.

Whitmore"s Wire Rope Lubricant can be used to lubricate all sizes of wire rope as well as chains, leaf springs and other applications where a penetrating oil is needed. It may also be applied by hand or automatic lubrication system.
