Courtney Leigh Choate and Stefan Polk Sullivan were united in marriage on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at six o’clock in the evening at St. Joseph’s Church in Galveston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Mr. Gary Janecek. Music for the ceremony was provided by the Divisi String Quartet of Houston. A scripture reading was given by Natalie Sloan and a poem was recited by Theresa Janecek.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception in the Davidson Ballroom of The Tremont Hotel in Galveston with music performed by The Electric Circus of Austin, Texas.

A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Polk Sullivan, was held on Friday night at The Tremont Hotel, Galveston. The bride and her bridesmaids were honored by the bride’s aunts, Catherine Miller, Patricia Nowak, and Maria Tabaracci, with a brunch at Brennan’s Restaurant in Houston on the Sunday prior to the wedding weekend.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jean Michael Rebescher of League City, Texas. She also is the daughter of the late Mr. Stephen E. Choate and the granddaughter of Mrs. Joseph S. Mancuso of Texas City and the late Mr. Mancuso.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Polk Sullivan of Seabrook, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Whitson of Houston, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Sullivan of Houston, Texas.

Attending the bride as Matrons of Honor were her sisters, Lauren Hinojosa, MD, and Natalie Sloan. Also attending the bride as bridesmaids were her sisters Stephenie Adkins and Leslie Rebescher, along with bridesmaids Lauren Sullivan, Abbi Drew, Stacey Gonzalez, Elizabeth Reagan, Lauren Vaughn, Briana Guajardo, and Alayna Guerrero. Junior bridesmaid was Alexandra Diaz and flower girls were Ava Sloan and Kate Hinojosa, all nieces of the bride.

Mr. Blake Sullivan attended his brother as Best Man. Groomsmen included Seth Benson, Steve Cannon, Josh Duay, Rick Hinojosa, Nick Hobaugh, Blake Janecek, Kevin Miller, Coy Sloan, Jason Vaughn, and Jarrett Van Pelt. The ushers were Benjamin Garza and Bryan McGowan, cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Adam Sloan, nephew of the bride, who carried a Bible from the bride’s maternal grandfather.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Texas City High School, Texas City, Texas, and received a B.S. in Corporate Communications in 2010 from The University of Texas at Austin. She currently works as Area Manager for Encompass Home Health, Houston, Texas.

The groom is a 2004 graduate of Clear Lake High School, Houston, Texas, and attended Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas. He is in Outside Sales with Sullivan Wire Rope & Rigging, Inc., Houston, Texas.
