304 Grade stainless steel rope is typically a standard grade. It has excellent resistance to corrosion, but there are limitations in higher corrosive environments. 316 Grade stainless steel rope, also known as marine grade, has a higher corrosion resistance. It is more suitable for harsher corrosive applications, such as salt water environments, food and pharmaceutical processing applications, boats, and in any coastal environment.

1.5mm 7×7 G2070 Galvanised Steel Wire Rope is  Light Rigging and Construction material. G2070 indicates enhanced durability in corrosive and hostile environments (marine or industrial). This 1.5mm 7×7 G2070 Galvanised Steel Wire Rope (Marine Grade) has very low stretch  and mid range flexibility. The flexibility of the wire means it handles easily.  As a result, manually Swaged fittings (crimps and thimbles) suit this wire. Both Professionals and DIY guys choose this wire for construction and rigging. All 1.5mm and 1.6mm fittings suit this wire. Tensile Strength (MBS) = ~203.9kg

Usage: This is a flexible wire is easy to work and bend with virtually no stretch coefficient. We recommend this wire with Thimble and Ferrule fittings as well as Hydraulically Swaged Fittings. Additional uses include: Picture Hanging, Shop Fitting, Shade Sails, Trellis structuring, ‘Green Wall’ construction, Rigging Slings, Theatre Production Infrastructure – Stage Lights, Curtains, & Prop. Note: Bulldog clamps (wire rope grips) do NOT suit this wire.

Length of Wire: Use combinations of the offered lengths to get the desired total length. Choose a quantity of “8” of the 10M length to select a single length of 80 Metres.  Wire Rope orders are cut, factory wrapped, sealed and shipped as a single length.  As a result, each wire order is packaged as a coil or a reel depending on length.  A requirement of less than 100M on a reel needs a special order (please phone first).
