raymarine type 1 hydraulic pump made in china
Boats with traditional hydraulic steering systems will use an Evolution autopilot driven by a hydraulic pump. The pump connects to the boat"s hydraulic steering lines and allow the autopilot to steer the boat by controlling the flow of fluid through the boat"s steering system. The hydraulic pump is controlled by the Evolution autopilot Actuator Control Unit (ACU.)
Complete your Evolution autopilot system with an autopilot control. The new p70s and p70Rs control heads feature vibrant colour displays and are powered by Raymarine’s intuitive LightHouse user interface.
Control your Evolution Autopilot directly from your Raymarine aSeries, cSeries, eSeries or gS Series multifunction display. Note that your multifunction display must be running Raymarine"s LightHouse II software and that some autopilot functionality may not be available if your system does not include a dedicated autopilot control head.
For use with hydraulic steering systems. Evolution pilots connect to hydraulic steering systems using a rugged hydraulic pump matched to the capacity of the hydraulic steering system. You’ll need to find out the size (in cc) of the hydraulic cylinder ram(s) mounted to the rudder or inboard engine boats, or to the drive unit on outboard engine boats. Your steering system documentation will have this information.
Raymarine evolution systems accommodate hydraulic, mechanical and power assisted stern drive systems. The Drive unit is the part that interfaces with your vessel’s steering system to keep you on the right course. Raymarine has a broad range of drive units to match almost any type of steering system. Raymarine Evolution pilots connect to hydraulic steering systems using a rugged hydraulic pump matched to the capacity of the hydraulic steering system. If your system is hydraulic You’ll need to find out the size (in cc) of the hydraulic cylinder ram(s) mounted to the rudder or inboard engined boats, or to the drive unit on outboard engined boats. I have the Raymarine setup with a non Ray pump. Water shouldn"t be allowed anywhere near the pump, not least because it"s basically just an electric motor! The Raymarine electronics are superb, the SPX is the latest evolution of a system they got right 15 years ago with the type 300 which we have. Sadly I suspect the SPX10 isn"t beefy enough for you, it means going to the SPX30 and a type 3 size pump, if you fit the 10 and a type 1 pump you may well end up with an autopilot that"s not fit for purpose. Raymarine tech support is the best I have encountered for any product, marine or not, it"s the single best reason for choosing them. I have called about a dozen times as we have gradually fitted near gear and despite the fact that I bought the base course computer second hand they still talked me through how to fit it! I"m a tech numpty and I like to talk stuff through which they are always happy to do.
