In 1896, we had started the manufacturing of pressure gauge in Koishikawa, Tokyo as the first instrument"s plant in Japan "Wada Keiki Seisakusho". At that time, there was no Japanese word for "instrument" in English, the founder, Yoshie Wada, created Japanese word of "Keiki" for "instrument", it had been a proper noun indicating our company for many years, today it has became a general noun popularly used.

Tokyo Keiki, Sano Plant is responsible for research and development and manufacturing of hydraulics and pneumatics (hydraulic pumps, hydraulic valves, and hydraulic motors) in the No.2 Control Business Unit.

When our plant, in Kamata, Tokyo, planned an expansion because of more spaces required, in considering that an interchange on the Tohoku Expressway was to be opened, we established Tokyo Vickers, 100% subsidiary of Tokyo Keiki in here in 1968. Later in 1984, it merged with Tokyo Keiki and became Tokyo Keiki Inc. - Sano Plant.
