Don"t have that model, but The vintage i have came with the pump in the bottom of the transmission. It was replaced with a pump that runs off the front of the crankshaft which gives better tractor hydraulics and better loader hydraulics. I was told that with the original regular tractor hydraulics it was necessary to take the pto out of gear and let the clutch out to run the hydraulics while dumping a bale out of the round baler. If yours is not working at times, perhaps there is a problem with that system.

Another source of problems with loaders in general is to have a clogged hydrailic oil filter. The tractor I have, a 7711, has a big filter plumbed in outside the transmission case. For one that uses the original tractor hydraulics, I don"t know where the filter is but manual should tell you. My tractor with the external pump still uses the transmission case as an oil resevoir, uses 80-90 gear oil.
