The 2,200-hp mud pump for offshore applications is a single-acting reciprocating triplex mud pump designed for high fluid flow rates, even at low operating speeds, and with a long stroke design. These features reduce the number of load reversals in critical components and increase the life of fluid end parts.

The pump’s critical components are strategically placed to make maintenance and inspection far easier and safer. The two-piece, quick-release piston rod lets you remove the piston without disturbing the liner, minimizing downtime when you’re replacing fluid parts.

On the other hand, lewco mud pumps come in different sizes to can be operated by electric water, solar water pump, and semi-automatic. Because of the type of mud pumps, it is important to consider the design of the mud pumps as they are powered by electric water, and as a name, it is important to consider a long-lasting usage of the water. In addition to the two types of lewco mud pumps, one is the most important choice among them. Lewco mud pumps and different electric mud pumps are one of the most commonly found types.

As a result, they are designed in different sizes, patterns and designs. There are many lewco mud pumps with different sizes, on top of a all-purpose design, and also designed for different cleaning and maintenance. Some lewco mud pumps with compressed air are also available in a range of sizes.

A lewco mud pumps are a cleaner, as it will keep less dirt on the surface. It is also designed to keep the debris clean, and it pushes clean pits without the need of debris. On the other hand, a lewco water pumps also clean the pits, irrigation systems will avoid water from seeping the pumps into the pits. It is additionally designed to clean the debris, and it pushes out clean pits.

It can also keep the cleaned debris in the future. A lewco mud pumping is efficiently designed, allowing it to clean up debris in the future, and it will also prevent spillage from happening. The lewco mud pumping is efficiently designed, and it can therefore keep more cleaned debris in the future.

Cameron manufactures high-performance, robust LEWCO™ mud pumps for onshore and offshore oiland gas drilling applications. Each mud pump features a one-piece, forged and fabricated alloy steelcrankshaft for smooth operation and enhanced longevity. In addition, LEWCO mud pumps includea welded steel power frame, forged alloy steel pinions and gears and triple-redundant power endlubrication. Prior to delivery, LEWCO mud pumps are tested in our quality control facility to verifyperformance expectations.

For maximized drilling performance and efficiency, LEWCO mud pumps offer high discharge flow rates, impressive power-to-weight ratios and small footprints. Cameron can also furnish fluid end modulesto match the customer’s existing inventory. Cameron takes pride in their ability to provide integratedpump packages, including top or rear mount AC or DC electric drives, controls, manifolds, piping andaccessories. Pumps are installed on a heavy-duty skid or trailer mounted for portability.

One-Piece Forged and Fabricated Alloy Steel Crankshaft The power balanced crankshaft reduces noise and vibration and extends the life of the bearing and crankshaft life. Rather than using a multipiece bolted component, the LEWCO crankshaft is made of one-piece, forged and fabricated alloy steel construction. It is repairable to help reduce operating expense and its bearings are lubricated via drilled internal passageways for longevity.

Welded Steel Power Frame The mud pump power frame is engineered for performance, reliability and toughness. Designed for discharge pressures as high as 7500 psi, it is an independent, precision-fabricated structure of double-wall welded steel, with stiffeners and gussets for added strength and durability. As opposed to pumps mounted on an integral skid, LEWCO mud pumps come mounted on a heavy-duty oilfield skid for mobility and increased alignment capability, reducing component wear caused by internal stresses.

Triple-Redundant Power End Lubrication The LEWCO triple-redundant, filtered lubrication system includes internal gravity/splash plus internal/external force-feeding of most of its power end bearings and upper/lower crosshead slides. For protection even at low operating speeds, the system includes a gear-driven mechanical pump off the main gear and a second pump driven by an electric motor.

Fluid End Modules LEWCO fluid end modules are available in one or two-piece configurations using quenched and tempered forged steel material. Cameron can furnish fluid end modules compatible with various mud pump brands already in use, eliminating the need to stock extra spares. Fluid end expendables are off-the-shelf parts, readily available from domestic and international Cameron facilities, further minimizing the need for additional stocking.

Steel Connecting RodsThe LEWCO rolled plate, low-carbon steel connecting rods maintain precisealignment between the crankshaft and crosshead under maximum load. These rodsfeature double-row cylindrical roller bearings in the crosshead end and single rowcylindrical bearings in the crankshaft end, reducing wear and friction under severeoperating conditions.

Discharge Manifold and CrossMade of forged, heat-treated steel for ruggedness, LEWCO discharge manifolds aredesigned to provide reliable connections and easy module maintenance. The piecesare available in working pressures of 3000, 5000 and 7500 psi and in various flangeoutlet configurations with clean-out strainers. On LEWCO pumps, the single-piece,trepanned manifold mounts directly to the front or back of the fluid ends, whicheliminates connections between the discharge modules.

Developed for increased mobility, the WH-Series mud pumps deliver high performance in a compact design. Featuring small footprints and less weight, these pumps are ideal for applications where space is limited. LEWCO mud pumps feature a power balanced, single-piece forged steel crankshaft for smooth operation.

The mud pumps market size is expected to grow at a significant rate during the forecast period. A mud pump is a large, high-pressure (up to 7500 psi), single-acting triplex reciprocating pump used to circulate mud in a well at a specific flow rate (between 100 and 1300 gallons per minute). Instead of a triplex reciprocating pump, a double-acting two-cylinder reciprocating pump is occasionally utilized as a mud pump. Typically, a rig operator keeps two or three mud pumps on hand, one of which is active and the others on standby in case of an emergency. Mud is gathered up with the use of mud pumps, which use suction to circulate the mud from the wellbore to the surface during the drilling process.

Increased demand for directional and horizontal drilling, higher pressure handling capabilities, and some new oil discoveries are the main drivers of this market"s growth. Mud pumps are specialized pumps that are used to transport and circulate drilling fluids and other related fluids in a variety of industries, including mining and onshore and offshore oil and gas. The global energy demand is boosting the market for mud pumps. However, high drilling costs, environmental concerns, and shifting government energy and power laws may stymie industry growth.

Innovation in technology is the key for further growth for example, MTeq uses Energy Recovery’s Pressure exchanger technology in the drilling industry, as the ultimate engineered solution to increase productivity and reduce operating costs in pumping process by rerouting rough fluids away from high-pressure pumps, which helps reduce the cost of maintenance for operators.

The major key player in global mud pumps market are Flowserve (U.S.), Grundfos (Denmark), Halliburton (U.S.), Sulzer (Switzerland), KSB Group (Germany), Ebara Corporation (Japan), Weir Group (U.K), and SRS Crisafulli, Inc (U.S.). Tsurumi Pump (Japan), Shijiazhuang Industrial Pump Factory Co. Ltd (China), Excellence Pump Industry Co.Ltd (China), Kirloskar Ebara Pumps Limited (India), Xylem Inc (U.S.), and Goulds Pumps (U.S.) are among others.

In the drilling business, MTeq uses Energy Recovery"s Pressure exchanger technology as the ultimate engineering solution to boost productivity and lower operating costs in the pumping process by rerouting abrasive fluids away from high-pressure pumps, which helps operators save money on maintenance. The latest trend reveals that regulatory agencies are persuading manufacturers and consumers to choose electric mud pumps over fuel engine mud pumps to reduce the environmental impact of fuel engine mud pumps.

The global mud pumps market is segmented on the basis of type (duplex pump, triplex pump, and others), component (fluid end and power end), application (oil & gas industry and building industry), and Region (North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Rest of the World).

Based on type, mud pumps can be segmented as duplex and triplex pumps. Triplex pumps are expected to progress because of the ~30.0% lesser weight than duplex pumps offering similar efficiency. The pump transfers the fluids with the help of mechanical movements.

Based on application, mud pumps market can be segmented as oil & gas industry and building industry. As oil and gas fields going mature, operators must drill wells with large offset, high laterals, widening their applicability by using mud motors, and high-pressure pumps. To fulfill the demand drilling companies increase their mud pumping installation capacity, with higher flexibility. For instance, LEWCO has developed W-3000 mud pump model for oil drilling, which can handle power up to 3000 HP.

Based on region, North America is predominant because of tight oil and shale gas sources, followed by Asia-Pacific due to the increased number of wells in the regions, especially in countries such as China and India due to the rapid urbanization and industrialization. Authorities in countries such as India, China are working on enhancing their production capacities for reducing the import bills, which ultimately help in the growth of mud pumps market.

This market is broadly driven by oil and gas industry as mud pumps are used to move massive amount of sludge and mud at the time of drilling. Countries such as China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S. have the largest number of oil wells. The demand for mud pumps will increase with the number of oil wells, across the globe.
