Allweiler, a business unit of CIRCOR, will exhibit at the Pumps & Valves trade fair in Dortmund, Germany February 12th and 13th 2020 (Hall 6, Booth R19-6).

Highlights of their exhibit will be the new AEB-DE dosing pump with an extremely flexible and space-saving design as well as OptiFix™, a next-generation progressing cavity pump, designed to reduce service costs. Allweiler"s team of experts will demonstrate its functionality by guiding visitors through five easy steps to dismantle the pumps.

With its quick-change design, the OptiFix progressing cavity pump is valued for its ability to save time and money. Its new service solution offers the shortest average repair time in its class. This results in less downtime; reduced maintenance and lower service costs.

OptiFix can reduce service times by as much as 85%. Due to its patented design, this pump can be serviced, repaired, and retrofitted in a fraction of the normal time. The pump"s rotor and stator can be removed without dismantling the discharge and suction casings. “If combined with the patented ALLDUR® stator, service life can be increased by as much as five times,” according to Jannik Röben, Director of Sales in Germany.

This opens up new opportunities for standardisation, easier stock-keeping, and straightforward adaptation of pump capacity. The pumps are delivered with high-quality stainless steel casings as standard so they can be used universally.

Its vertical installation option also allows users to design flexible and space-saving systems. Advanced pumping elements and the resulting optimised clamping give AEB-DE high dosing accuracy and stable performance curves.

In addition to a variety of pump solutions, CIRCOR will also exhibit RTK, a feedwater valve with an integrated freewheel that was specially designed to protect feedwater pumps from cavitation.

This unique valve serves two purposes: to act as a feedwater control valve and to provide a bypass function to protect the pump from damage. The feed water valve has a hardened trim that resists wearing for lower overall maintenance costs and extended pump service life.

This depends on several factors; how frequently are spare parts required? how long has the pump been in operation? and the price of the required spare parts versus the cost of a complete new pump. For example, if a new casing, impeller, shaft and mechanical seal are required, then it is more cost effective to purchase a complete new pump as a large proportion of the high value parts are required. If the pump is wearing frequently and prematurely, then this may be an indication that the wrong type or size of pump is installed. It is a good idea to talk to us in this situation as we may be able to identify the issue with your pump or system and select a more suitable pump for your requirements.

The *Allweiler® NTT series Centrifugal pump for heat transfer applications is an ideal solution for the handling of organic heat-transfer oils. The NTT"s unique self-cooling design eliminates the need for additional cooling in any form due to its self-cooling design during operation.

At Shanley Pump and Equipment, Inc. we stock a complete line of *Allweiler® NTT thermal oil pumps. These are horizontal centrifugal pumps that are capable of pumping thermal oil at 660° degrees F (350°C) at up to 6,400 GPM with up to 430" feet of head and require no additional coiling. Shanley Pump and Equipment holds current in-house stock of NTT/CTT pumps with cast iron casings.

Centrifugal Pumps are pumps which convert mechanical energy into hydraulic energy by the centripetal force on the liquid. A rotating impeller increases the velocity of the fluid internally while working with the casing of the pump which acts to convert this increased velocity into a pressure increase for flow.

The Allweiler® company is German founded and still based in Germany, although it is now part of the US group Colfax that was incorporated in 1995. Allweiler offers a very wide range of pumps for all sorts of applications. In addition to the progressive cavity pumps, Allweiler® also manufactures many models as for example centrifugal and triple-screw pumps typically for the chemical and petrochemical industry among other sectors.

The Liberty Process LL8 Progressive Cavity Pump is ideal for abrasive pumping applications such as drilling fluids with sand and grit common in fracking operations. As a Mud Pump, the LL8 Series is a popular model on many mobile pumping rigs in use today. Replacement mud pump parts are available as well from our stock and work on other popular manufacturers models.

The Liberty LL8 is a standard flanged pump design manufactured with cast iron or 316 stainless steel pump casings designed in 1, 2, and 3 stages for 75, 150 and 225 psi discharge pressures and a flow rate of 18 up to 100 GPM.

The LL8 is a modular design with simple hardened pinned joint drive assembly. LL8 Rotors are typically hardened tool steel or 316 stainless steel with a hard chrome plating for long life in abrasive pumping applications.

All other wetted parts are either carbon steel or 316 stainless steel. Stators are available in many elastomer materials such as Buna Nitrile, Natural Rubber, EPDM and Viton. The standard seal design is a set of gland packing with a lantern ring set and flush connections. Mechanical seal options for this progressive cavity pump are readily available.

The LL8 represents one of the most popular progressive cavity pumps available for the transport of drilling mud with easily replaceable in-stock parts.

Eccentric screw pumps in block pump design AEB and with free axling AE-IE. This type of pump is one of the most useful pump types the world has yet seen.

Allweiler"s pumps are referred to as capacity indexes, e.g. AEB 1 L 200, which indicate that the pump can give 200 l/min at 400 rpm. The 1 indicates that it is a 1-speed pump for 6 bar, and the L defines the resistance of the rotating parts.
