These workhorses keep the mud flowing and your rig running. If theyʼre not working, youʼre not working. We make everything from the crankshaft to the liner seal to the skid. Each one is precision engineered for your rig so you can get back to turning.

Is this just a rumor? Bronco build schedule pushed back because of supply chain issues? Some of the issues are with parts for the Bronco coming from China? Did Ford design-in parts made in China?!

I can"t get anyone to tell me it"s not true! It"s hard telling how many parts are actually causing the delay, the rumor is the top is the main culprit. A German based company Webasto is the company supplying the tops. I"ve heard they are building a new factory in the Detroit area to supply all the tops for the Bronco. The construction of that facility was way behind schedule. As I mentioned, all this are rumors.

How many parts to into a modern automobile (I literally have no idea but it"s gotta be a lot)? It would be absolutely inconceivable to make something so complex and not have some parts sourced from China. Even if Ford didn"t directly, their suppliers would certainly have sub-suppliers that did.

Yes, perhaps many piece-parts are sourced from China. But if the optional winch is made in China, or if Ford sources all roof racks in China, or if Bronco aluminum wheels are sole sourced in China, I"d like to know. Part of buying a Ford is that hopefully 80-90% is made in America and 0% comes from China.

Now that so much of our production capacity has been shifted oversees we have become dependent on countries like China. That is one reason why I like the Bronc as Ford opted to build in the good ol USA, unfortunately parts are a different story...

It is the sad realty of US manufacturing these days driven by greed to secure cheap parts and labor. There is no reason the US could not produce this stuff as we used to produce everything at home, however, would take time to ramp back up. Think back to WWII and the economic might of the US driven by the hardest working and greatest generation of all time, our grandparents, maybe great grandparents now for some :). Maybe someday we will come to our senses again...I hold out hope. (y)

Ame from England for most of our Bility to boost our manufacturing capacity as quickly as we did. Flash forwards to today, everything is based on digital value and thats controled by the share holders. Plus a generation that has not learned a real work ethic and we face a whole different scenario. Not saying we cant get it done. I dont feel the incoming administration has the will or the clout to do it. It would require several companies the size of Ford to band together to finance a change of that magnatude. We will see what happens.

(y)Costs of cars would increase, but more jobs here could mean lower welfare costs — that is until robots and AI do most of the work.
