The one-piece bonded comstructed piston is desiged and manufactured to handle the tough assignments encountered during ladn and offshore drilling. A spcecial processing of the fabric eliminates leakage points and resistance to abrasion. The fluid expanded lip is not damged by high presure and fast pump strokes. The Fail-Safe piston seals off to greater diameter as liner wears.

Green Duo Urethane Bonded Piston is constructed of oil-resistant polyurethane bonded to a solid metal hub, offering a longer service life than replacment rubber pistons. As fluid pressure increases, the urethane surface of the piston expands against the liner to complete the seal, even in the enlarged diameter of a worn liner bore.

Piston rods are made with premium grade, heat treated alloy steel, offering excellent resistance to fatigue, corrosion and heavy loads. A full line of piston rods are available for various pumps.

It was specifically designed to work in applications where water based mud is used or in situations where WBM is used on the top side & OBM is used on the bottom end. This eliminates the need for changing the piston midway through the drilling program. The “TD” or “Total Depth” name reflects our commitment to make a single piston that will last from “spud” to “TD”. This piston has been engineered with a unique friction reducing material bonded into the urethane of the sealing lip. Because the TD is built to withstand friction in the liner, wear on your parts is minimized and savings is maximized. The Patriot™ TD is also designed to meet pressures of 7500 psi as well as temperatures up to 220 degrees.
