nov mud pump piston supplier
Patriot Oilfield Expendables has introduced three high quality bonded urethane pistons designed to operate in the harshest drilling conditions around the world. All three mud pump pistons are unique in their own way and are designed to outperform in performance against all other piston in the market. The Patriot Piston line is trusted both domestically and internationally by the largest contractors in the world. Patriot Pistons maintain continued success from the smallest land rigs to the world’s largest newly built high specification drill ships entering the market facing today’s toughest drilling environments.
The NOV FC-1600 Triplex Mud Pump is made of rugged Fabriform construction and designed for optimum performance under extreme drilling conditions. It is compact and occupies less space, yet delivers unequaled performance. The pumps are backed by several decades of design and manufacturing experience, and are considered leaders in the field.
NOV FC-1600 Triplex Mud Pump is conservatively rated at relatively low rpm. This reduces the number of load reversals in heavily stressed components and increases the life of the fluid end parts through conservative speeds and valve operation.
The NOV FC-1600 Triplex Mud Pump design provides an inherently balanced assembly. No additional counterbalancing is required for smooth operation. No inertia forces are transmitted to the pumps’ mountings.
A Triplex Mud Pump sometimes referred to as a drilling mud pump or mud drilling pump. NOV FC-1600 Triplex Mud Pump is a reciprocating piston/plunger pump designed to circulate drilling fluid under high pressure (up to 7,500 psi) down the drill string and back up the annulus. A mud pump is an important part of the equipment used for oil well drilling.
Since the NOV A1700-PT Triplex Mud Pump was built approximately 60 years ago, the industry has widely accepted the three cylinder or triplex style pump. Triplex mud pumps are manufactured worldwide, and many companies have emulated the original design and developed an improved form of the triplex pump in the past decade.
NOV A1700-PT Triplex Mud Pumps have many advantages they weight 30% less than a duplex of equal horsepower or kilowatts. The lighter weight parts are easier to handle and therefore easier to maintain. The other advantages include; They cost less to operate
One of the more important advantages of triplex over duplex pumps, is that they can move large volumes of mud at the higher pressure is required for modern deep hole drilling.
NOV A1700-PT Triplex Mud Pump is gradually phasing out duplex units. In a triplex pump, the pistons discharge mud only when they move forward in the liner. Then, when they moved back they draw in mud on the same side of the piston. Because of this, they are also called “single acting.” Single acting triplex pumps, pump mud at a relatively high speeds. NOV A1700-PT Triplex Mud Pump has three pistons each moving in its own liner. It also has three intake valves and three discharge valves. It also has a pulsation dampener in the discharge line.
FET manufactures a full range of valves and seats for every drilling and well-servicing application as part of our full line of Osprey® mud pump system solutions. All of our valves and seats can be used in water, water base, oil base and synthetic base mud applications. FET offers additional valves and seats not listed below, including drilling valves, frac valves and well service valves. FET’s QC standards for the dimensional and material specs are extremely rigid in comparison to other manufacturers. Contact your FET representative to learn more.
MISSION ceramic liners offer longer run times, lower operating costs and reduced risk exposure when compared to operating with chrome iron liners. The ceramic sleeve material is manufactured from alumina oxide, known for its wear resistance, and has proven run times in all types of operating conditions. The outer hull material for large bore liners is manufactured from alloy steel to increase yield strength and aid n fatigue resistance. MISSION ceramic liners are corrosion resistant and have a smoother surface finish for reduced friction and heat. Combining these features, the extensive history of NOV in ceramics, and proprietary pump technology, results in a liner unmatched by any other in the industry. MISSION ceramic liners are field proven as the longest running liner ever manufactured.
The MISSION L 7500 modules are designed as an upgrade solution for existing mud pumps equipped with 5000 psi fluid ends. They can also be specified as original equipment for certain new NOV mud pumps and as original equipment on new pumps from other manufacturers. These modules create added value by increasing the operating range of existing mud pumps and by reducing maintenance and pump down time. Added features can include the BLAK-JAK liner retention system, MISSION ceramic liners, and ROUGHNECK valves and seats.
The MISSION WHITE LIGHTNING bonded piston is manufactured from a highly engineered elastomeric compound that provides high resistance to water, oil and synthetic based drilling fluids. The compound provides superior resistance to tear, abrasion and extrusion and is capable of operating in fluid temperatures up to 230 ̊F (110 ̊C).
The MISSION BLUE LIGHTNING piston is a super premium bonded polyurethane piston designed for operating in all drilling environments. It is manufactured for an engineered elastomeric compound that delivers excellent resistance to tear, abrasion and extrusion while maintaining high mechanical properties. The BLUE LIGHTNING piston is capable of operating in fluid temperatures up to 220 ̊F (104.44 ̊C)
