Eckel in-house heat treat insures parts are properly treated to meet our high qualitystandards. The parts are heated and quenched in a controlled carbonenriched atmosphere, the process consists of heating the part to aspecific temperature and holding for sufficient time to ensure the wholework-piece is at temperature, then rapidly cooling it in oil (quenching).The resultant temperature changes induce physical transformation of thesteel, resulting in mechanical property changes.
