Good location near downtown attractions and Ancient City for food market. Room was huge, with couch and desk table. Cleaning staff didn"t replace toilet paper, and actual took the little we had already. No English. Hotel says there is a spa and fitness centre, but there isn"t. Breakfast is included and was really good with lots of options and fruit. Price was steep for China at around 700 RMB per night. Gas masks in the room for ??

The hotel room has everything my husband and I needed: Consistently hot shower with adjustable water volume, good air-con, good ventilation (we had a smoking room), excellent and free Wi-fi, soft bed (not the Simmons type but soft enough as compared to most budget hotels in Guangzhou), no weird smell in the room, 30 mins from the airport only, eateries nearby, Bank of China just around the corner (with 24-hour ATM), 24-hour convenience shops around the corner and the train station was only a street away (just ask the front desk).

There were clean towels and two bottles of mineral water every day, a cold-enough refrigerator and a safe. In case you are religious, you need to bring your own religious book, there was no Bible or book on Buddhism in the drawers. (I always open every drawer and cupboard in every hotel I go to so I noticed.)
