I think you are going to have problems with using dividing plates on any rotary table that you purchase for your lathe/mill combo. Although you may be able to mount your rotary table in a horizontal position, mounting it vertically so that you can make gears is going to be difficult at best. It does not look as if you have enough room to mount a tail stock for the rotary table unless you could somehow use the lathe tailstock. Maybe that will work.

For me a 6" rotab would be pretty close to useless. Considering it is near impossible to mount anything on its table that wouldn"t also fit in 3-jaw or 4-jaw chuck. It would also be a heckuvalot easier to mount in chuck. You can mount stuff to a 6" table but it will require a lot of extra trouble and fixturing most of the time.
