Shipment: All products and/or services covered by the quotation are sold F.O.B. either our plant in Linden, NJ or the manufacturer"s plant for the parts and/or valves required, unless otherwise indicated. The risk of loss or damage in transit will be upon the purchaser. The products will be prepared for shipment in a manner prescribed by us or the manufacturer and shipped by any public carrier which we deem satisfactory, unless the purchaser provides other specific shipping instructions when placing orders. Any date provided by us for completion of work or for shipment is intended as an estimate only and is not to be deemed a term of the quotation. Shipping charges shall be pre-paid and billed at the time of shipment.

Warranties and Limitations: We warrant only that our products will conform to their description herein and that at the time of sale our products will be free from defects on workmanship and material. The name and reputation of Certified Valve Repair stands prudently behind every valve or piece of equipment we recondition. We are valve repair specialists, if at any time, in any way, a valve or piece of equipment that we have repaired fails to provide complete satisfaction, please bring the matter to our attention. Every repaired valve, pump, instrument, or equipment when used in accordance with the manufacturer and our recommendations is guaranteed to be free from defective workmanship and material. We will repair or replace without charge, F.O.B. our plant any repaired unit which our own examination proves to be defective within a period stated by our firm at the time of delivery. We assume no responsibility for incidental damage or expense. Authorization is required before returned articles will be accepted.

When you need it: New construction, process conditions have changed, your valve is not performing as you expect, you want to consider modifications, or you just aren’t sure what you need. Our engineering team is available to assist with sizing and selection to get you the valve you need.

Automatic control valves must be sized to adequately control the process application for which it is intended. With nominal process data, calculations are performed to determine the flow capacity needed for the application, and that required capacity is matched to a type and size of valve and its “Cv”, or flow coefficient. If not properly sized, a control valve may not pass the required flow or may not operate in a range needed to effectively control the process.

Much like the control valve, the actuator must be sized to match the amount of force required to operate the valve. Without proper sizing, an actuator can be sluggish and not respond adequately to control signal changes, resulting in instability of the process being controlled. A missized actuator can also keep the valve from attaining its designed shutoff classification, and objectionable leakage may occur.

Valve type and size for the application are selected by an application engineer once the required flow capacities are calculated. Also essential is specifying the appropriate materials of construction of the process wetted parts: trim, valve body/bonnet, packing.

Legislation requires that the owner of a facility has access to repair and recertification documents for pressure management equipment. The Mec-Tric Repair Shop is an ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and National Board certified repair shop. Our certifications include Section I (boiler code) and Section VIII (pressure vessel code). We are authorized in these sections for Air, Steam, Water, and Vapor.

Mec-Tric Control Company is authorized to assemble and repair safety valves by the National Board and A.S.M.E Code Section I and Section VIII for Air, Steam, Liquid, and Vapor.

Mec-Tric Control Company is the representative for the most well known regulator, the Spence regulator. Being a manufacturers representative gives Mec-Tric an advantage over other repair facilities. We repair regulators to like new condition and inventory many sizes and types.

We also repair and assemble Control Valves giving the same attention as our Safety Valve and Regulator programs. Mec-Tric calibrates the valve to receive pneumatic signals as well as electro-pneumatic signals.
