About AG’s 63B Safety ValveType 63B valves are direct spring-operated safety valves suitable for medium set pressure gas, vapor and liquid or gas thermal relief applications. Specific valve types are available for gas, vapor, liquid; gas or liquid thermal relief, steam, cryogenic and chemically active applications.

The 63B’s brass construction offers an economical valve for carbon dioxide, natural gas and general gas or vapor services. Yet, these relief valves use special internals and soft seals to provide optimum accurate performance.

About Seal Tightness Performance SpecsAll pressure relief valves are checked for seal leakage per procedures outlined in API 527. The following operating pressures will allow for bubble-tight seat sealing performance.

Features: Types 81 and 83 are direct spring operated valves designed with special patented internals and soft seats to provide superior performance. This range is capable of solving the most difficult pressure relief problems with valves suitable for gas vapor, and steam service. Type 81 and 83 valves carry the ASME Section VIII Code Stamp.

Features: The Type 81P is a fully back pressure balanced, direct spring operated valve designed specially for liquid service. The valve is fully open at only 10% overpressure and has a pressure-loaded spindle ring to ensure stability with no chatter.

Features: The Series 400 is a no-flow, modulating action POPRV design suitable for gas, liquid and two-phase applications. The Series 400 represents the very best state-of-the-art technology providing safety relief valve performance not possible from direct spring PRV’s.

Features: The Type727 safety valve has been specifically designed to provide a valve with premium seat tightness on high temperature gas and steam service. The 727 has all metal seating surfaces and is ASME Section VIII Code Stamped.

Features: Designed for cryogenic and non-cryogenic storage tanks the Anderson, Greenwood Series 90/9000 POPRVs provide extremely accurate valve setting and ultra sensitive response with set pressure as low as 4″wc (10 mbarg). The Series 9000 is also available as a pilot operated vacuum breaker for highly sensitive and air-tight vacuum service.

Features: The Anderson, Greenwood Safety Selector Valve (SSV) is a unique device, developed to provide a safe and efficient method of switching from an active PRV to a standby PRV. The SSV has less than 3% pressure drop to the active PRV inlet, in accordance with ASME Section VIII Code and API RP520 Part II. The SSV is provided with a ‘foolproof’ locking mechanism. Tandem Safety Selector Valve systems are available which allow positive and simultaneous switching of both inlet and outlet SSV’s while maintaining overpressure protection at all times.

Features: Tank Blanketing provides an inert gas blanket over the liquid in a liquid storage tank. The Anderson, Greenwood Trans-Zero Regulator is a pilot operated, dome-loaded diaphragm type regulator capable of reducing blanketing gas from 14 barg to 12.5 mm wc in a single step providing bubble-tight shut off and low maintenance costs.

Bubble-tight seats near set pressure: Allows higher system operating pressure and, therefore, maximum process output; not as sensitive to vibrational and pulsating service; reduces product loss.

Modulating action available: Minimized product loss per relief situation; reduced environmental pollution; avoids oversizing consequences; not as sensitive to inlet pressure losses as pop action.

Full lift at set pressure: No overpressure required for full lift; allows D.O.T. installation to be set higher than Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) when pop action is used.

High Gain Modulating Action available on 400 Series pilots providing full main valve lift by 5% overpressure while minimizing product loss during relief events.

Minimizes possibility of freeze-up in applications involving a cryogenic or refrigerant and allows for D.O.T. applications to be set higher than Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure.

Type 81P spindle design balanced against the effects of back pressure without the use of a bellows, reducing both initial purchase and associated long-term maintenance costs.
