Yep it works as intended so how could I give it anything but 5 stars.I purchased this overpressure safety valve to upgrade my 150 psi system to a 200 psi system because my pump and tank can easily handle it.Allong with a 200 psi pressure shut off switch and hornblasters pressure regulator for the ***** horns. I get much more volume in my 5 gallon tank for my onboard air system making airing up the tires after 4x4ing much quicker.

Designed to reduce contaminants in high-purity applications using hydrogen and methane gas, these valves have a stainless steel and brass body with a smooth finish to reduce dust collection and internal components designed to protect the seal and diaphragm from contamination.
1/4" MNPT ASME safety valves are manufactured to ASME standards and certified by the national board of boiler and pressure vessel inspectors. Valves are interchangeable with all other ASME valves of same size and pressure. Valve resets after pressure drops by 50%.
Brand new 1/4" Male NPT threaded 15 PSI air compressor / tank pressure safety relief valve. Also known as a "Pop Off" or "Blow Off" valve. This relief valve is manufactured in the United States. The relief pressure of this valve is set at 15 PSI and is accurate within + or - 3% of the set pressure.

Wizards of NOS developed the uniquenitrous Safe Pressure Relief Valve (SPRV) to provide our customers with an increased level of safety that’s not available from any other nitrous company. The SPRV also boasts improved performance and reliability to compliment the other advanced, high quality market leading nitrous components WON offer.
The SPRV is a direct replacement for the basic and potentially dangerous blow off/rupture discs supplied as standard on all other brands of nitrous oxide bottle valve. It is designed to release small amounts of nitrous should the pressure in the bottle try to exceed the desired safe level, rather than dump the whole contents at an elevated unsafe pressure, as is the case with a blow off/rupture disc.
This Race Spec version allows for the use of a blow down tube or use of 6AN hose coupled with bulkhead fittings. The blow down is used to vent any over pressure to atmosphere outside of the vehicle. These valves are designed not to release the full contents of a cylinder like blow-off discs in their explosive manner. The SPRV will bleed progressively as pressure rises above the threshold in a safe and un-alarming manner and therefore do not require this tubing for safe function. However due to numerous regulations being unchanged to accomodate this technology we have provided this version where regulation needs it.
A blow off/rupture disc is a small disk usually made of brass or copper, which is retained in the back of the bottle valve as a weak link, much like a fuse is a weak link in an electrical circuit. If the pressure in the bottle reaches a certain level (usually ‘intended’ to be around 100 bar) the disc will rupture allowing all the bottle contents to escape. The idea is that the disc ruptures before the pressure becomes great enough to rupture the bottle itself.
1) If you are close to the valve when the disc ruptures, it can result in a painful freeze burn because large volumes of liquid nitrous are rapidly dumped to atmosphere, in an a totally uncontrolled manner. To see a video demonstration of the results of this please CLICK HERE
1) Rather than allowing the bottle pressure to exceed the safe working pressure by a substantial amount before dramatically rupturing, the SPRV opens IMMEDIATELY the safe pressure is exceed by even a small amount.
2) When the safe pressure is exceeded instead of dumping the whole bottle contents, the SPRV just allows the EXCESS pressure to escape in a gaseous form in a slow and controlled manner, so there is no risk of a freeze burn.
3) Once the pressure has returned to the desired normal level the SPRV will close, which prevents the loss of an entire bottle of gas and the inconvenience of having to replace a disc.
If you don’t know your blow down from your pop action, NASVI has you covered. Here is a handy cheat sheet on safety valve lingo and how to accurately order them.
SAFETY RELIEF VALVE:Safety relief valves are basically like pop safety valves and are primarily for liquid service where the thermal expansion in a liquid-laden vessel actuates the valve. When vapor is generated in these vessels, due to uncontrolled heat input, this valve with the huddling chamber, will give a high disc lift and discharge the expanded vapors. This valve is also suitable for gas or vapor service.
SELECTION OF VALVE:Valves should be selected for the particular installation on which they are to be used and also on the basis of the rated discharge capacity. This should be equal to or greater than the maximum output of the system.
INSTALLATION:The valve is to be installed in a vertical position, into a clean fitting, using the proper size and type of wrench so as not to damage the valve. The discharge piping, without stop valves, shall be independently supported and sloped downward slightly to drain condensate.
Made from 6061 Billet Aluminum stock, it is a two piece adjustable valve that relieves pressure in the crankcase due to blown head gaskets or piston failure which can result in lots of air volume bypassed to the engines crankcase. It also protects in the situation where the vacuum pump isn"t working due to a thrown belt. The GZ Blow Off Valve PN VCB100B consists of a base with a nylon washer and nut that can be installed in a standard grommet hole in a valve cover or placed in a valley pan and a top that may be removed to replace the spring of Teflon ball inside. The top has an o-ring between it and the base to which is attached for leak free sealing. Once the valve is activated, the blow-by gases are vented through a fitting in the top which may be routed to a catch can or other means of containing fluids in the gases.
A pressure relief valve (blow off valve) is essential for any turbo, blower or nitrous equipped high performance engine with a Vacuum Pump. If for some reason the pump can"t keep up with crankcase pressure (like a hole in the piston on a blower car), the blow off valve will safely vent that pressure to a puke tank instead of pushing out a gasket in the engine and getting oil under the tires.
Common to most high pressure gas and steam applications is the need to vent or evacuate a system in the event of an upset or system shut down. As a result, relief valves and/or control valves are incorporated to safeguard against a system failure or maintain process conditions. VAW’s steam vent and blow-off silencers are specially designed to reduce noise generated by the high differential pressure at the time of a release. Each silencer is designed for the individual process venting conditions and customer acoustic requirements. Materials selection is based on the application criteria as it relates to the vented medium (steam, air, natural gas, or other gas), upstream pressure and temperature and flowrate required to be vented. VAW’s Applications engineering team have the knowledge and experience to correctly design the proper vent silencer for your system.
