Our story is one rooted in efficiency dating back to The Yankee Companies, a conglomerate of energy, environmental and banking businesses that in 1988 opted to concentrate its efforts on energy services. Restructuring under its West Texas well servicing division, Yale E. Key, the company began an aggressive acquisition program that ultimately led to the creation of Key Energy Services, Inc.

Today, Key offers an entire suite of well servicing solutions, including: drilling and workover rigs, coiled tubing, frac stack and well testing, fluid services, onshore fishing and rental services.

Key Energy Services has struck a deal to acquire privately owned Moncla, a Louisiana-based company with a fleet of onshore and barge rigs. Key is paying $145 million for the rig contractor. Key is acquiring 37 well servicing and workover rigs, as well as eight rigs for shallow onshore exploration. Key is also acquiring Moncla"s eight-rig fleet of workover barges. Moncla currently operates in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Moncla"s revenue for 2007 is expected to total $140 million. Separately, Key said it has acquired Calgary-based Advanced Measurements for $8.4 million. Advanced Measurements provides oil field data services.
