Rigzone.com, a website that provides news and job information on the oil and gas industry, is holding the Louisiana Oil and Gas job Fair on June 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cajundome Convention Center.

The job fair will include more than 35 companies hiring for hundreds of open positions. Candidates are encouraged to bring copies of their resume and to be prepared to interview on-site.

“The positions available at this event span the industry,” said Jen Schamble, events director at Rigzone. “There are onshore and offshore jobs, some positions are in the field, and others are in an office setting.  Recruiters will be looking to hire everything from mechanics to accountants.”
