Prince PTO pumps are specifically designed for PTO drive operation on all sizes of farm tractors. No additional gearbox is required. Pumps are mounted by sliding the internally splined pump onto the PTO splined shaft and restraining rotation with a torque arm. See page P6 for the PTO pump torque arm kit.

The Cross series 50T pumps are designed to be driven by a 540 rpm PTO and provides a 3:1 speed increase for the pump to provide flow for a variety of farm applications: for example front-end loaders, augers and wing fold implements. The thru-type 6 spline internal shaft permits the use of a stub shaft PTO driven accessory which simultaneously drives the pump.

A power take-off or power takeoff (PTO) transfers the mechanical power from a power source, such as a running engine, and transfers it to another piece of equipment or attached implement.

This allows for the power to move throughout the equipment to transmit energy even if it doesn’t have a motor or engine itself.  Most often, a PTO it is a splined draft shaft installed on a tractor or truck allowing attached implements to be powered directly by the engine. Semi-permanently mounted power take-offs can also be found on industrial and marine engines. These applications typically use a drive shaft and bolted joint to transmit power to a secondary implement or accessory.

Maximum power is 50 HP (37.5 kW) with the 1:3.31 ratio models at 540 RPM input and 65 HP (49 kW) in the 2.04 ratio models at 1000 RPM input. The T33 is available to accept most SAE “A”, SAE “B” or SAE “C” hydraulic pumps. Pump adaptors on the T33 may be changed in the field. DIN 2 & 3 adaptors can be made to order, please consult with our Sales Office.

Hydraulic pumps convert mechanical energy into fluid power energy. All hydraulic pumps are positive displacement which means the outlet flow is sealed from the inlet flow. If you oversize the pump, & run at a higher pressure than is stated in the chart below, internal stress will cause the gearbox to fail prematurely

MODEL T33 – These models embody over 20 years of engineering experience with PTO hydraulic pump drive. They were developed for use as directly driven hydraulic pump speed increasers for 540 or 1000 RPM tractor PTO shafts. Models for 540 RPM PTO’s are provided with a 1 3/8″ 6T spline hollow shaft and for 1000 RPM PTO’s, a 1 3/8″ 21T spline hollow shaft. Shafts are splined internally for full length for through drive. Normal practice is to utilise a torque arm to restrain the drive from rotation.
