Backlit panel makes viewing easy in all conditions.

The Ogura GT5 PTO Clutch Brake delivers up to 350 ft. lbs. of starting and stopping torque. Adjustable air gap ensures long component life and reduced maintenance costs. Other brands of electric clutch do not have adjustable air-gaps and once they are out of adjustment, they must be replaced. GT3.5 clutch with 250 ft. lbs. of torque is used on the 27HP Kawasaki FX powered 61" Cheetah"s.

Heavy-duty blade drive spindles provide reliable performance season after season. The Scag spindle easily handles the high horsepower and torque requirements of this powerful mower. Three year limited warranty.

"Split-Steel" pulleys are used on load carrying areas like the cutter deck spindles and pump drive systems. Split steel pulleys are stronger than cast iron or stamped pulley designs. Our pulleys are strong for long life and lightweight for reduced inertia and decreased wear on the cutter deck drive system, including the PTO clutch.

No plastic pulleys - Some [other brands] actually use plastic pulleys on their mowers. Not Scag. All Scag pulleys are made from metal. Plastic is for toys.

The Turf Tiger II is the priciest Scag mower but delivers fearsome performance worthy of its name. It can achieve ground speeds of up to 12 mph moving forward and 5 mph in reverse. The Turf Tiger includes a driveshaft-powered Velocity Plus™ 52", 61", or 72" cutter deck and a center-mounted gasoline, diesel, or propane fuel tank for improved hillside stability. The Cheetah II is the fastest mower that Scag offers and can achieve ground speeds of up to 16 mph forward and 8 mph in reverse. The mower comes with either a 31/38 HP Kawasaki FX921V/FX1000 engine or a 37 HP Briggs Vanguard™ BIG BLOCK™ EFI engine. There’s also a straight belt driven cutter deck and a 15-gallon (61"/72") gas tank mounted low on the mower to improve stability. This mower is ideal for owners who need to cover a lot of ground daily but isn’t ideally suited for hilly terrain.

The Patriot is Scag’s mid-range riding mower in terms of price and performance. It can achieve ground speeds of up to 10 mph moving forward and 5 mph in reverse. It has a straight belt-driven Hero™ Cutter Deck and a 6.5-gallon gas tank mounted above its wheels. Buyers in the market for a good all-around mower for general landscaping may want to look into one of these, but it doesn"t have the specialized capabilities of other Scag models.

The Freedom Z is Scag’s tough and dependable entry-level commercial mower, ideal for homeowners who want quality, professional cuts. The mower comes with a 48” or 52” Hero™ Cutter Deck and a 6.5 gallon fuel tank with a digital hour meter to help riders track usage. Riders can achieve a top forward speed of 8 mph forward and 5 mph in reverse. The Freedom Z is also designed for easy maintenance, including sealed aluminum spindles with ball bearings and simplified grease points.

The Liberty Z is the most affordable line of Scag lawn mowers and can achieve ground speeds of up to 7 mph moving forward and 5 mph in reverse. There are three types of walk-behind Scag mowers: the SWZ Hydro-Drive, the SW Belt-Drive, and the SWZT Hydro-Drive. They deliver Scag’s performance and reliability in a smaller (and more affordable) package than its riding mowers. Walk-behind mowers are ideal for hilly terrain and smaller jobs, especially those that would take less than 40 minutes. The mower comes equipped with a powerful 14/15 hp Kawasaki® 481FS/541FS engine that helps the mower reach a top speed of 6 mph forward and 2 mph in reverse. The SW-Belt Drive also includes an Advantage Cutter Deck (32”/36”) or a Velocity Plus™ Cutter Deck (48”/52”). The SWZT Hydro-Drive offers smooth handling and performance and includes some of the most advanced features on any Scag walk-behind mower.
