I have a feeling you kind folks are going to get tired of me, potentially quickly. I"ve got a front end loader on the YM2k, and the hydraulics for it and the 3 pt lift have acted a bit goofy since I took possession of the tractor. On startup, they"ve operated normally, but after 30-45 minutes of running, the hydraulics would stop responding entirely. Well, they"d drop, but not lift, nor would the bucket curl. Since I"ve not had it long, I figured I"d go ahead and change the fluid and check the screen. That all seemed to go fine, but after finishing, the loader and 3 pt will not lift at all.
Somewhere between 2 & 4, I cracked open #24 a few times to see if trying to prime that way some more might help, but now it seems the hydraulic fluid does not flow out at all. I can take the screw all the way out and nothing flows out.
So now it seems checking out the pump would be the right thing to do. Perhaps somewhere along the way I sheared the key in it, or something of the sort. Does that seem like the right path? I"ll read up on examining the pump, but is testing of the pump performed while the engine is running? Is there anything else I should be considering?
